We’re excited to announce a significant enhancement in the January 2025 release of Yeeflow: the New Print Page for Approval Forms. This update replaces the existing print page designer with a more powerful, flexible, and efficient version. With this new print page, creating and managing print layouts for your forms is easier than ever.
1. Unified Designer for Seamless Copying
The new print page shares the same designer as the Submission Form and Task Forms in your Approval forms. This means you can now:
• Copy from Existing Forms: Quickly create a print page by copying the layout and elements from an existing submission or task form.
• Streamline Design Efforts: Save time by leveraging designs you’ve already created and focus only on the elements specific to print.
2. Enhanced Control Options
We’ve expanded and improved the controls available in the new print page designer:
• Table Control: Now included in Submission and Task Forms, making it easier to format data-rich layouts.
• QR Code Control: Easily add scannable QR codes for documents or tickets.
• Approval Logs Control: The old Workflow Logs control is now replaced with Approval Logs, offering more flexible and customizable UI options for tracking approval history.
• All Assignee Context: The “All Assignee” control is no longer included as a standalone feature. Instead, you can access it through the Context in the Expression Editor and display the data using the Text or other controls of your choice.
3. Backward Compatibility
• Existing print pages will remain unaffected and editable using the previous designer.
• New Print Pages: When creating a new print page, only the updated designer will be available, ensuring you benefit from the latest features and enhancements.
The previous print page designer had limitations that made it difficult to design complex layouts or format variables like dates, currencies, and numbers. Additionally, its separate designer type meant you couldn’t copy layouts from Submission or Task Forms, leading to redundant work and longer setup times.
The new print page resolves these issues by:
• Offering advanced formatting options for variables.
• Allowing seamless copying from existing forms.
• Reducing design effort by unifying the form designer across all form types.
Creating a New Print Page
1. Open the Approval Form Designer.
2. Select Print Page and click on Create New.
3. Use the “Copy from an Existing Page” dropdown to import layouts from Submission or Task Forms, or start from scratch.
Printing with the New Print Page
• The existing Print Button remains available and supports both old and new print pages.
• For more control, use the “Print Page” form action, which offers enhanced options during printing.
The new print page is designed to make your workflows faster, smoother, and more effective. Whether you’re creating simple layouts or handling complex designs, this update empowers you with better tools to customize and streamline your print pages.
We’d love to hear your feedback on this new feature! Try it out and share your thoughts with us. Stay tuned for more updates coming your way!

Hi there,
We're excited to announce the addition of the Collection action feature in Yeeflow, expanding the flexibility of automation within your applications.
Unlike form actions, which operate at the form level, the Collection action is designed specifically for the Collection control. This allows you to add unique automation directly to each item within a collection.
You can now find the new "Collection action" settings in the properties panel of the Collection control. Here, you can create new actions or manage existing ones, making your collections more interactive and powerful.
What's the Difference Between Form Action and Collection Action?
Form actions are meant for automating controls and variables across the entire form. Collection actions, on the other hand, operate similarly but are also context-aware within the Collection control. This means you can easily access and manipulate each item within a collection, making it possible to leverage the value of individual collection items in each action step.
Additionally, Collection actions include several exclusive steps, such as viewing, editing, or deleting items, updating fields, and even triggering list workflows. These unique steps allow you to build interactive functionalities that directly operate on each collection item effortlessly.
Best Practices for Using Collection Actions
Here are some best practices to help you make the most of Collection actions:
Reusability and Efficiency
One of the great features of the Collection action is that it belongs to its Collection control, meaning that any buttons, containers, or other controls inside the Collection can utilize it. Plus, when you duplicate or copy/paste a Collection, all related Collection actions will automatically carry over, saving you significant time when reusing Collections across different applications.

Hi there,
Did you know that when you customize each control's style in the designer, there's a setting called Position? This setting is available in the Advanced tab of each control, and it allows you to control how elements are placed within your design. Are you using this setting in your application designs?
We're excited to announce two new additions to the Position dropdown list in Yeeflow's designer: Static and Sticky! 🎉
These new options give you even more flexibility when designing forms and dashboards, making it easier to create dynamic, visually appealing layouts without writing a line of code.

We're excited to introduce a powerful update to Yeeflow's Dropbar control: the Dynamic Content option. This new feature allows you to fully customize the content displayed within the pop-up container of the Dropbar control, offering an entirely new level of interactivity to your applications.
The Dropbar Dynamic Content option is ideal when you need to create interactive and flexible UI elements that enhance user engagement without overwhelming the main interface. Dropbar allows you to integrate complex functionality within a compact space, which makes it perfect for keeping your user interface clean while providing extended capabilities. Here are some scenarios where you might consider using the Dropbar Dynamic Content option:
Case A: Data Filters Container Use the Dropbar control as a container for data filters. By placing the data filter controls inside the Dropbar's pop-up container, users can easily toggle and set filters without taking up valuable screen space. This approach keeps the interface tidy while giving users the ability to manipulate their data view dynamically.
Case B: Action Buttons for Collection Items Dropbar controls can also be used to manage operations within a Collection control. For each item in the collection, the Dropbar can provide multiple operation buttons—such as edit, delete, or add more operations. This feature simplifies actions for individual items and provides a clean, centralized location for these operations.
Case C: Notifications with Collection Control Another use case for Dynamic Content is adding a Collection control within the Dropbar's container to show a list of content. For instance, a Dropbar with a bell icon can include a Collection control to display the latest notifications, which are pulled from a data list. This keeps users informed while reducing clutter on the main interface.
The Dropbar Dynamic Content option offers numerous possibilities for creating interactive elements that are suitable for a range of business needs. Consider using Dropbars to:
With Dropbar, you can implement advanced user interactions that make your applications more engaging while maintaining an organized and professional look. Whether you're creating custom data filters, providing multiple actions for items, or displaying a notification center, Dropbar with Dynamic Content is a versatile tool that can transform your application UI.

We're thrilled to announce two powerful new formulas in the Yeeflow expression editor: vLookup and weekNum. These formulas are designed to make data processing even more efficient and flexible, giving you greater control over how you work with data in your forms.
The vLookup formula allows you to search for rows that contain a specified value in a column of an array object, then return either the entire row object or specific data from a chosen column. The result can be a single record or an array of matching records, making it extremely versatile for many use cases.
Syntax:
vLookup(<lookupValue>, <list>, <lookupColumn>, <matchRange>, [<returnColumn>])
lookupValue: The value used for searching. Leave blank to match all records, or set as 'Empty' to match rows where the value is empty.
list: A variable expression for the list type variable (often linked to a Sub list control).
lookupColumn: The column within the list to search.
matchRange: Define whether to match the first, all, or last matching record.
returnColumn: (Optional) Specify a column to return a value from. If not included, the entire matching row object is returned.
The vLookup formula is especially useful when working with Approval forms and Data List forms where you need to dynamically find specific information within a Sub list—for example, locating a particular value within a row or extracting a range of data from a Sub list.
The weekNum formula is a handy addition for working with dates. It allows you to determine the week number for any given date, using either the default or the European ISO 8601 standard for week numbering.
Syntax:
weekNum(<date>, [<useISO>])
date: The date for which you want to determine the week number.
useISO: (Optional) A boolean parameter to indicate the week numbering system. Set to true for ISO 8601, where the week containing the first Thursday is the first week of the year. If false or left blank, the week containing January 1st is considered the first week.
The weekNum formula can simplify workflows involving date calculations, allowing for easy identification of week-specific data, whether you're managing schedules, tracking weekly performance, or organizing activities.
These new tools make it easier than ever to extract, process, and use data within Yeeflow. Whether you're trying to match specific records in a Sub list or pinpoint the exact week of a date, vLookup and weekNum are here to streamline your work and boost your efficiency.
Ready to explore these new formulas? Head over to your expression editor in Yeeflow and start experimenting today!
If you have any questions or would like to share how these formulas have helped you, feel free to reach out. We're always excited to hear your feedback!
We’re excited to announce a new feature that enhances the flexibility and customization of your Yeeflow applications. As an application creator, you now have the ability to hide the default headers of Approval Forms, List Forms, and Dashboards. This update allows you to create a cleaner user interface and more personalized designs, improving user interaction with your apps.
1. Dashboard Header Customization
Previously, you could hide the header bar for non-admin users, but now you can also hide the header bar for everyone. This new option can be found under the page settings in the Dashboard Designer. This allows you to streamline your Dashboard layout and focus on displaying key information.
2. Approval Form: Hide Default Header
A new “Hide default form header” option is now available in the Page Settings of the Approval Form Designer. By selecting this option, users will no longer see the form’s default header, including the “Submitted” and “Draft” tabs—only the submission form will be displayed. This gives your form a cleaner look and removes unnecessary visual elements. For easy navigation, you can configure the “My Request” menu item on your app’s navigation bar to help users locate their form submissions.
3. List Form: Two New Options
When configuring List Forms (Data Lists), you’ll find two new options under Page Settings:
• Hide default operation buttons: This option removes the default buttons such as “Submit,” “Cancel” on the add/edit item forms, and the “Edit,” “Delete,” or other action buttons from the view item page.
• Hide default form header: This option hides the entire header of the form, giving you more control over the form’s appearance.
This update allows you to simplify your app interfaces and customize the design to better fit your needs. If you want to create a more minimalistic or branded interface, or if you plan to design your own headers and buttons, these new settings are highly valuable.
• Data List: When adding new items, you can customize the window’s title and color, replacing the standard header with your unique design.
• Dashboard: Remove the header bar to declutter the page and maximize space for content.
If you hide the headers of Approval Forms or Dashboards, you may wonder how to access their settings afterward. You can navigate to the Application Settings > Application Info in your app. From there, you’ll find a list of all your components, and by clicking the three dots next to each one, you can open the settings menu to edit properties or access the form designer.
Enhance Your User Interaction with Flexible Design
This new feature empowers you to provide a more streamlined and polished user experience, giving you full control over how forms and dashboards appear and function within your application.
We are thrilled to announce a powerful new feature in Yeeflow: the ability to copy and paste form actions directly from the designer! This enhancement is designed to make your application-building process even more efficient, allowing you to create complex, interactive forms and dashboards with ease.
As we continue to bring more form actions into Yeeflow, you now have the capability to design more advanced interactions and logic within your applications. However, as the number and complexity of these form actions grow, so do the time and effort needed to create and modify them.
We understand that there are times when you may want to reuse existing actions within the same form, in another form, or even in different applications and organizations. To address this need and streamline your workflow, we’ve introduced the new Copy & Paste Actions function.
With this new feature, you can quickly and effortlessly copy an existing action and reuse it wherever you need. Here’s how to use it:
1. Copy an Action: Open an existing action in the form designer. From the dropdown list of the action’s name, you will find the “Copy action” option in the dropdown operation menu. Select this option to copy the action.
2. Paste the Action: Once copied, you will notice a new “Paste action” button in the actions panel, right next to the “New action” button. Click this button to paste the action into the same form or a different form within the application.
3. Cross-Form and Cross-Application Support: You can also use the “Paste action” button in any other form designers within the same application or even in another application. This flexibility allows you to replicate actions across various forms and applications easily.
4. Copy & Paste Steps: In addition to copying entire actions, you can now copy individual steps within actions and paste them into other actions. This added granularity allows you to fine-tune your forms and workflows with even more precision.
This new copy-and-paste functionality significantly reduces the time spent on recreating or modifying actions. It provides you with the flexibility to design sophisticated workflows and interactions effortlessly while ensuring consistency across different forms and applications.
Try out this new feature and let us know how it enhances your workflow. We’re committed to providing tools that make your application-building process as seamless and powerful as possible.
We can’t wait to see how you use the new copy-and-paste actions feature to create amazing, interactive applications in Yeeflow!
Happy building! 🎉
